Understandably there is a lot of confusion surrounding exactly what a landing page is, particularly in comparison to other pages on your website.

 
The common misconception is the a landing page is any page that a reader ‘lands’ on – wrong. Any page on the internet that you might land on is a web page. A landing page is any page on the internet that you might land on that has been specifically designed to capture a visitor’s information through a form or sign up process OR specifically designed with conversion in mind.
