Continuing on from last week’s post, Website Design Centre presents the last 3 of the top 6 website design trends for 2015. With the market and the devices used to access websites consistently evolving so too is the need for website design to adapt to meets these dynamic changes.
Website Design Centres’ other 3 of the top 6 trends for 2015:
1. Parralax Effects
Websites designed with parallax effects (scrolling effects) will becoming a growing trend. Debate is raging as to whether or not this is a long-term move or not, but regardless, it will be here in 2015. Why? Well, for one thing – engagement of sites with parallax effects can improve by up to 70%. By having readers scroll rather than clicking:
• The site requires less page loading
• The information on the site maintains its flow
• Easier to craft smooth transitions from section to section
2. Webgraphics
After the popularity of infographics, 2015 heralds the rise of webgraphics. Webgraphics convey large amounts of information as well as involving elements that allow readers to interact with the information they see. They are more visually appealing than infographics and have, so far, shown an exciting retention increase in users.
3. Responsive Design
By the end of 2015, the prediction is that the number of different smart devices on the market will push forward the trend of (and need for) responsive design. Web designers and their clients will be forced to adapt techniques to build sites that work on devices such as smart watches.
While some of this trends may not last long they are trends for 2015 none the less. If you are looking at a website revamp or a build for 2015 contact the Website Design Centre (link to Contact) team to find out more about the type of site that would work best for your business needs.
